While Rihanna was spotted with Leonardo DiCaprio earlier this week, her rumored boyfriend rapper Drake is ready to take drastic measures to make sure he doesn’t lose Rihanna to the actor.

“Drake is madly in love with her and wants to propose soon,” one source said to Life & Style magazine. “He’s told his friends, and they all agree that they’ve never seen him this happy.”

Apparently Drake’s mother, who recently met Rihanna in person, is on board for Drake popping the question too.

And as for Rihanna, word is that it’s very possible she’ll give Drake the answer he wants to hear.

The insider continued and said, “Rihanna thinks that time their love is the real deal. She’s told friends that she would of course consider Drake’s proposal.”

Still, it might be a stiff competition. Rihanna had already sparked rumors that wedding bells would be ringing for her when she sported a huge diamond ring on her ring finger at the Billboard Music Awards Sunday. And if rumor has it that if Chris Brown has his way, an engagement between Drake and Rihanna will not go down.

“If Chris got wind that Drake actually proposed to Rihanna, he wouldn’t let that happen,” a different source told Hollywood Life earlier this week. “He doesn’t believe Drake’s the man who could offer Rihanna everything she’d want in life. He believes Drake sees women as trophies and doesn’t want Ri to be the next girl on his wall. Yeah, Chris isn’t ready to be in a true committed relationship with Ri at this moment, but if Drake tried to take her off the market, it would force Chris to man up quickly.”
