As more comes out about The Real’s decision to fire co-host Tamar Braxton, it looks like her recent health scare played a factor in it all.

Fans might remember that during her time on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars (where she was a crowd favorite by the way), Braxton suffered a terrible hit in her health and had to get surgeries to save her life. She also had to take even more time off from The Real as she healed. Well word is that her absence allowed show runners to see what the series would be like without Braxton as a co-host as other guests, including her husband Vincent Herbert, her sister Traci Braxton and her mother Miss Evelyn, filled in for her.

“While she was on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ producers realized the show could survive without her,” one source told Daily Mail recently. “It was peaceful on set, as the other four ladies are quite easy to work with, and the ratings maintained and at times, went up depending on whom was guest co-hosting the show…”

Things escalated after a focus group also is said to not have given Braxton very good scores.

“The focus group research showed that most educated and working women did not identify with Tamar’s show vernacular and her use of words known to be popular among drag queens and some gay men – phrases like ‘get your life,’ ‘where they do that at,’ [and] ‘have several seats.’ It was even said she seemed more suited to be a judge on ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race on Logo…”
