Asus' newest entries into its Zenfone line of smartphones have caused significant waves in the mobile market. With admirable specs and offered at very reasonable prices, Asus' three new units are setting the standard for entry-level and flagship phones all over. While the Zenfone 3 and the Zenfone 3 Ultra are notable devices on their own, it is Asus' flagship device, the Zenfone 3 Deluxe, that is really worth looking into.

The Zenfone 3 Deluxe is Asus' most powerful smartphone to date, equipped with Qualcomm's most powerful chip, the Snapdragon 820, a 23-megapixel sensor from Sony, up to 128GB of flash memory and a whopping 6GB of RAM, and a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED panel. Couple that with a brushed metal frame and a design that completely gets rid of antenna lines, and the device becomes one attractive piece of hardware to behold.

Indeed, the Zenfone 3 Deluxe's specs are almost overkill, especially with its 6GB of RAM. In fact, its combination of raw power and the performance it promises is enough for fans of the device to remark that the Zenfone 3 Deluxe might very well be a game changer in the smartphone market.

This is primarily due to the fact that the device is very competitively priced compared to its main rivals such as the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Huawei P9. Compared to these devices, which command a far higher price point than Asus' handset, the Zenfone 3 Deluxe is almost a bargain at its price. Starting at $499, the Zenfone 3 Deluxe is far beneath the price of the S7, which retails for around $800.

Also, the sheer combination of powerful specs in Asus' device seems like an indication that the Taiwanese manufacturer is attempting to introduce another category of Android smartphones altogether - the superphone category. After all, the world's top two smartphones right now, the iPhone 6S and the Galaxy S7, fall far behind the raw power for the Zenfone 3 Deluxe.

Indeed, other manufacturers have already tried equipping their phone with extremely powerful specs. Take the world's first 6GB RAM smartphone, for example, the Vivo Xplay 5 Elite, which also retails for the same price. Unlike the Zenfone 3 Deluxe, however, Vivo's handset is an almost exact replica of Samsung's Galaxy S7 Edge. Thus, as much as it is powerful, many have criticized the device for blatantly copying Samsung's design.

The Zenfone 3 Deluxe, however, is not like Vivo's handset. If any, the device stays true to the main aspects that have made its predecessors such a huge success in the past. For all its power, the Zenfone 3 Deluxe is a smartphone that even the layman could afford. In the mobile market, such a combination is always welcome.
