Pop singer Selena Gomez announced her first solo world tour Monday on Ryan Seacrest's radio show, only a day after she performed her new hit Come & Get It at the MTV Movie Awards.

The 20-year-old told Seacrest she is "so excited" to embark on her new venture, adding that "it's going to be a bigger show" than ever before.

"I'm excited. I've been dancing a lot and I just want to entertain people and I'm super stoked," she said. "I kind of missed shows when it used to just be about the dancing and the performing as opposed to how big and elaborate the stage is so I kind of want to get back to that."

Gomez noted that she wants her tour to be more about "dancing and make it about entertainment and about the show and the songs as opposed to how big the stage and effects are."

Gomez's Stars Dance World Tour will kick off in North America on Oct. 10 and will run through Nov. 20. Tickets go on sale April 20, with The Scene pre-sales starting on April 17.

Gomez's album is set to be released this summer, though its title has yet to revealed. Only a day before she announced news of her tour, the former Disney star took to the stage at the MTV Movie Awars for a Bollywood-inspired performance of her new song Come & Get It. Watch her peformance here.

Gomez's ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber, is currently on his own world tour. The 19-year-old continues to post on Instagram shirtless pictures of himself and his latest, posted on Monday, was sarcastically captioned, " 'Breaking news worldwide @justinbieber just posted 2 shirtless pictures he must be gouing crazy' - funny people."
