Is there more to Prince's death than what was revealed?

While it was announced that the singer's passing on April 21 was ruled as an accidental overdose on fentanyl, a new report claims that he may have killed himself.

According to In Touch, a friend of Prince's found a suicide note that said how much he was hurting.

"It was scrawled in big letters on a page ripped from a notebook," the friend said via Tuesday's report from Hollywood Life. "It was chilling and read simply: 'need something to make the pain stop, even if it means ending everything somehow. It's time to go, I didn't mean to leave so soon...I didn't mean to leave now. Love, Love, Love.'"

The friend of the singer's added more on what it was like seeing this rumored letter.

"It was almost lyrical," they said. "He knew he would finally do himself in with a deadly dose of opiates."

It appears that Prince didn't want to be remembered as a person who allegedly took his own life; the site gave the impression that he wanted people to know him as the icon he remains to be.

"Prince's final farewell was found by this person among the clutter of Prince's notebooks and papers," the friend revealed. "It was what the deeply private star would have wanted. He wanted to be remembered as one of, if not the greatest, pop stars of all time, someone who spread love and joy through his music- not someone who'd done this to himself."

Unfortunately, it seems like this alleged note is going to stick in this friend's mind for a long time.

"I'll never forget what he wrote. I can't get it out of my mind. 'It's time to go. I didn't mean to leave so soon.'"
