While countless celebrities are sharing their thoughts on this year’s Presidential election, rapper and actor Bow Wow (real name Shad Moss) is getting lots of flack for his opinion that he shared on Twitter Wednesday.

He wrote that he likes to “stay away” from politics after a fan asked him who he is voting for.

But if that wasn’t enough to set fans off, his following tweets also got lots of attention. “Man I only believe what the eyes see. I’m mixed. I don’t know what my ancestors was doing. I only know what I see!... Yeah I seen SELMA. Was I related to anyone no. Im saying my moss side of family is NOT BLACK. Heritage different.”

As for what his ancestors really are, he said his Moss side of his family is White and Native American. When it comes to his mother’s side, he said, “Moms side weird. I’ve never seen them in life really. I got 2 aunts and 1 cousin I’ve known my whole life. CRAZY”

Still, that doesn’t mean Bow Wow doesn’t have an opinion about who should run the country. “I know yall don’t want TRUMP to win I get it. But real is REAL! Homie hotels be the s***. Haha all bs aside. He can run hotels. USA? Idunno.” He added, “The TRUMP HOTEL IN TORONTO THEY TREAT ME LIKE ROYALTY. My waters be [at] the temp I like etc…The staff incredible.”


After all that, he finally said he is not voting for Trump.

Bow Wow did add that he voted in the election eight years ago. But did it because it was “the thing to do.”


He later cleared up that tweet.
