A real-life character of The Bling Ring slammed the upcoming-released film in a Twitter post on Tuesday, claiming the story was portrayed as inaccurate.

Alexis Neiers, one of the teens portrayed in the film, tweeted Los Angeles Times reporter Amy Kaufman: "@amykinia it's trashy and inaccurate. Based on Detective Goodkind and Nancy Joe Sales inaccurate information."

She continued by stating:

"The detective who has been caught in multiple lies and who played himself in this film and a woman who is an irresponsible, inaccurate and a dishonest journalist who is currently writing a book based on inaccurate facts."

Neiers spent 30 days in jail for burglarizing Orlando Bloom's house back in 2009, inspiring Emma Watson's character in the film. Kaufman had asked for Neiers' thoughts on the new trailer for the film, directed by Sofia Coppola-directed film.

Based on real-life, the movie features a group of young thieves who broke into a number of celebrities' homes and stole millions of dollars' worth of jewelry, along with other luxury items. Six people, including Neiers were charged and convicted of various roles in the burglary scheme.

She concluded in her tweeting rant:

Neiers posted on her blog April 5 that, that after seeing a teaser for The Bling Ring, she felt it was "just another party movie based on teens robbing celebrity homes."

The Bling Ring hits theaters June 14. The movie will also screen as an Un Certain Regard selection at the Cannes Film Festival next month.
