20th Century Fox has agreed to make a new film version of hit classic Broadway musical Guys and Dolls and word is that Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are in talks to take on the leading roles.

The actors may take on the role of gangsters Nathan Detroit and Sky Masterson.

Guys and Dolls would requiring a lot of singing dancing and both actors have shown that they could do just that.

Gordon-Levitt sang High Hopes with Daniel Radcliff and Seth Macfarlane on the Academy Awards earlier this year. Channing Tatumshowed off his dancing skills in Magic Mike, but that sort of dance will most likely not be used in the classic musical.

However, before the movie comes into fruition, a screenwriter and director has yet to be cast.

Meanwhile Tatum is looking forward to the birth of his first child with wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum. The couple announced their pregnancy in December.

Tatum was named People's "2012 Sexiest Man Alive" in November. Despite the success of portraying a stripper in a semi-autobiographical tale Magic Mike, Tatum was still shocked and humbled by the honor.

"My first thought was, 'Y'all are messing with me,' " said Tatum.

The Alabama native told People that he and his wife can't wait to start their family.

"I'm ready; I think she's ready," said the 32-year-old. "The first number that pops into my head is three, but I just want one to be healthy and then we'll see where we go after that. It's really easy for us guys to say, 'I want like 15 kids. Jenna will be like, 'Well you better get another wife!' "

The couple met on the set of "Step Up" in 2006 and married in 2009.
