Yet another A Star Is Born movie is being made, so how does Barbra Streisand feel about it?

This will actually be the fourth A Star Is Born film, after the 1937, 1954 and 1976 versions. Each movie featured notable performers in the lead female role, with Streisand having starred in the 1976 version.

The singer recently weighed in on the announcement that Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga would be starring in a new remake of the classic film.

"I feel great about it because I know 'A Star Is Born' will work; it works every time," Streisand told Extra in a new interview (seen below). "Because the music can change with the decades, it's applicable to many personalities and many different kinds of singers and many different kinds of music, so I know it's gonna work."

Gaga will be writing new music for the film in addition to starring as the lead female role. Cooper is starring as the lead male role as well as directing and co-producing. This is Cooper's debut film as a director. Like the previous incarnations of the film, the new A Star Is Born centers on a female singer whose star is on the rise just as her male lover's star begins to fade.

Gaga previously tweeted her excitement over joining the project:

Warner Bros president of Creative Development and WW Production Greg Silverman spoke recently about the collaboration of Gaga and Cooper:

"For those of us lucky enough to watch him work as an actor and producer, it has been clear that Bradley would make this transition to director," Silverman said. "We are honored that he is doing it, here, at his home-Warner Bros.-and with Lady Gaga as a collaborator and co-star. The world is in for a treat as these great artists craft an all new vision of 'A Star is Born.'"

A Star Is Born does not yet have a release date.
