Selena Gomez has announced she will be taking some time off in the midst of her Revival World Tour, which was scheduled to continue until December.

According to a new report, the 24-year-old singer's health has been negatively impacted by the long hours of her tour and now, it is unclear if she will go through with any of her upcoming shows.

“Several factors have contributed to Selena‘s high levels of stress and anxiety which have really taken a toll on her health. Since her tour began she has been working long hours and constantly on the road. She has been over-worked and run-down,” a source told Hollywood Life on Tuesday.

Earlier in the day on Tuesday, Gomez announced her upcoming career hiatus.

“As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways,” Gomez told People Magazine. “I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges. I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off. Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues.”
