The Internet has always been the most dynamic and ever changing platform in the history of humanity. Within hours something can become viral and reach the eyes and ears of more than a billion people.

At the same time something which has been established for a very long time and is held dearest in the hearts of many can suddenly lose its popularity and fall.

Vine. The infamous six second video website filled with humor and what used to be a community of millions of people.

Vine right now is owned by Twitter and according to the Wall Street Journal it was the apple of their eyes a mere six months ago. However, the curse of the dynamic Internet came upon the website and it is now on a really fast downhill slope.

Vine used to be a site filled with many entertainers but recent statistics show that most of them have changed their platform or abandoned the site altogether. Not only entertainers, but many advertising agencies that were involved with the site became frustrated and left.

Vine had a lot of potential for entertainers to make money but due to the fact of Vine lacking a good advertising model, it caused people to move towards different methods.

Many of them moved either to YouTube to make longer videos or they moved to Facebook which is rising to be popular.

According to Tech Crunch, this drop of popularity made Twitter pull the plug on Vine and they recently announced how they will be cutting all operations towards Vine.

This of course blew up the Internet in a fit of anger and acceptance. Twitter mentions that the website is not popular anymore and is not generating lesser and lesser profit every day.

However, they also mentioned that they will keep the website up and just cancel operations.

They say that the website is filled with amazing Vine videos and they want people to continue watching the entire history of it. This can be seen as a good gesture on Twitter's part.

However, as of this moment nothing can be said how or when twitter will cut operations.
