Selena Gomez might be going to the 2016 American Music Awards on Sunday.

Gomez has been taking several months off to attend to her health, but it looks like she might be showing her face in public this Sunday. Larry Klein, one of the producers at the AMAs, told E! News directly: "There is a possibility that Selena will be here on Sunday."

Another source reportedly confirmed to the publication that she would indeed be in attendance.

Gomez has been battling lupus and all of the side effects that come with it, including anxiety, panic attacks and depression. She announced in August that she was taking time off to treat herself.

"I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off," she said. "Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues."

Gomez is nominated for two awards at Sunday night's ceremony: Artist of the Year and Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist. These are her first nominations at the ceremony but she has performed in the past. The singer performed "The Heart Wants What It Wants" in 2014 and "Same Old Love" in 2015.

One other factor that may be on people's minds with Gomez in attendance is whether she will interact with famous ex-flame, Justin Bieber. He has a whopping five nominations, including Artist of the Year, but he will not, in fact, be in attendance. He will be in Switzerland for his Purpose Tour, but the AMAs will be showing a special performance live from this tour Sunday night.

The 2016 AMAs begin at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
