A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Chad Johnson in Southern Florida.

On May 7, a Broward circuit judge issued a warrant against the former NFL wide receiver for his reported probation violation. He failed to report to his probation officers on Feb. 15 and March 15. He also did not show proof of his enrollment in the "Batterers Intervention Program," in which he was sentenced to serve 26 weeks.

Last September, Johnson, 35, was sentenced to a year of probation after he pleaded no contest to a domestic violence charge involving his now ex-wife, Evelyn Lozada, star of reality TV show Basketball Wives. She contested that Johnson had head-butted her during an argument in the driveway of their Davie, Fla. home. According to the police report, the fight began after Lozada found a receipt for condoms in the couple's car. Lozada reportedly had lacerations on her forehead when police arrived on the scene.

Ochocinco, who recently changed his name back to Johnson, was arrested in August after Lozada said they had a fight that allegedly turned physical. Lozada filed for divorce shortly after. It was finalized days before his conviction. The two had only been married since July 4.

The six-time Pro Bowl player had initially changed his name to Ochocinco so he could make that the name on the back of his jersey.

Johnson spent 11 years in the NFL, mostly with the Cincinnati Bengals. The Miami Dolphins released him after his arrest in August 2012.  Johnson is currently teamless.

In December, Lozada dropped a no-contact order that had been put in place against Johnson. A month later, Lozada and Johnson were spotted having dinner together with his daughter. She later posted on her blog that the two had not reconciled.

Johnson's attorney has not yet responded to a request for comment.
