The Miami Heat continue to struggle at the early going of the regular season. Many say that trading one of their assets might be the answer to their current stumbles. And the asset being pertaining to is no other than Goran Dragic who might find himself with the New York Knicks before the trade deadline.

Rumor mills have already mentioned Dragic name as one of the potential targets in the trade market. Dragic has established his name as one of the reliable point guards in the league for 8 years and already played for 3 different teams. But now, rumors are spreading that there's a looming possibility that he might be traded by the Heat in the coming days.

Heat president Pat Riley recognized that the team is not doing good at this juncture and they might go for an early rebuild this season. He also said that they've done rebuilding twice - once in 2005 then again in 2008. Now, he is promising to act quickly to change their situation, is trading Goran Dragic could be what he is hinting?

FOX Sports earlier reported that four teams have already shown interest to acquire Dragic. One of those team is the Minnesota Timberwolves as a potential landing spot for him. One analyst also mentioned that the Orlando Magic as most likely the best destination for Dragic. Both teams are seeking to revive their campaign for this season.

Same goes to the Kings who is also fighting for the 8th seed in the tight Western Conference division. And in order to keep their position, having a veteran point guard to steady their backcourt could be a big help in their chances as per stated in the report. The Kings earlier offered Rudy Gay for Dragic however the trade deal didn't prosper.

However, the most prominent trade discussion for Goran Dragic today is with the New York Knicks. According to Forbes, with the same situation to other teams, the Knicks are desperate to have a backup point guard that could support Derrick Rose at the backcourt. And having Dragic familiar with Knicks' coach Jeff Hornacek system makes him the best available option for them.

Nevertheless, the Miami Heat have not confirmed nor deny Goran Dragic involvement in the numerous rumored deal that swirls around today. But we can expect that the Heat, as Pat Riley said, will swing a trade before the trade deadline expires.
