The final events that were featured in the movie, Batman V Superman, did not really allow for another confrontation between the two DC heroes. However, new reports have revealed that both Superman and Batman will apparently be at each other's throats once again in the upcoming next installment, Justice League.

Superman's death in the previous movie was of course a bit anti-climactic seeing as that Henry Cavill was already confirmed to be returning in Justice League. His death, however, is somewhat significant to create the tension between him and Batman as he will be absent during the initial formation of the league.

Based on the trailers, and even in the comics where the movies are based on, Batman has always been considered to be the leader of the Justice League. He is the one that brings together the superheroes to fight against an enemy that aims to conquer the world. Even Wonder Woman is content with following Bruce Wayne's lead when it came to tracking down the Metahumans.

According to a report from Movie Web, Superman's inevitable return will apparently throw a wrench into the current dynamic of the league. After waking up from his near death experience, Superman will likely be back in a grumpy mood and raring for some more combat and if he does decide to try to take over the league, he will need to go through Batman first.

In an interview on the latest issue of Total Film Magazine, Henry Cavill confirmed that Superman will indeed argue with Batman as to who the leader of the league should be. However, unlike the last movie, both superheroes might not necessarily be exchanging blows this time around. The upcoming film's director, Zack Snyder, even mentioned that the entire conflict will turn into a fun dynamic that will be adding some much needed humor into the movie.

Justice League is scheduled to hit theaters on Nov. 16, 2017.
