The next installment in the new Star Wars sequel trilogy, Star Wars Episode 8, is still a year away from being released, but there are new rumors now circulating which seems to point to a highly awaited reunion likely to be happening.

In a tribute image for Carrie Fisher posted by one of the cast members, it was hinted to fans that the movie may be featuring a touching sibling reunion between Fisher's character, General Leia Organa, and her brother Luke Skywalker, played by Mark Hamill.

Oscar Isaac, who plays the Resistance X-wing fighter pilot Poe Dameron, recently posted a behind the scenes photo of both Hamill and Fisher on the set of the upcoming movie. Isaac captioned the photo he posted on Facebook with a touching message about how he saw Fisher as a person with a "gritty wisdom" and how she made him laugh. While the photo itself was just meant to be a touching tribute to fisher, fans were quick to read more into the image to come up with different theories.

A report from Birth Movies Death claims that the image itself is proof that there will indeed be an emotional reunion between the two Skywalker twins in the upcoming movie. While both characters were in the last movie, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, they actually never met and were never in any scenes together. Now that Luke is set to make a big comeback in the galaxy, it will only make sense for them to reunite.

Another interesting detail that can be seen in the photo is how both actors are wearing costumes with the same theme. Several fans pointed out that the costume Hamill is wearing is very similar to flashback sequences, which might mean that Hamill and Fisher could be featured in different flashback scenes.

Star Wars: Episode 8 is set to be released in theaters on Dec. 15, 2017.
