Billie Lourd paid tribute to her late mother, Carrie Fisher, in an emotional new Instagram post.

Lourd posted a photo of herself as a child, bonding with her mother. The actress posted one of Fisher's more notable quotes in the caption: "If my life weren't funny then it would just be true and this is unacceptable."

Lourd noted that, "Finding the funny might take a while, but I learned from the best and her voice will forever be in my head and in my heart."

The actress previously posted a photo of herself with Fisher and grandmother Debbie Reynolds, who also died in the final week of 2016.

"Receiving all of your prayers and kind words over the past week has given me strength during a time I thought strength could not exist," she captioned the photo. "There are no words to express how much I will miss my Abadaba and my one and only Momby. Your love and support means the world to me."

Fisher died on Dec. 27 after suffering from cardiac arrest. Reynolds, fraught with grief, died one day later of intracerebral hemorrhage and hypertension after suffering a stroke. The bond between Fisher and Reynolds was chronicled in the new HBO documentary Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds.
