The entry of Nintendo's latest console has fueled a recent rivalry in the gaming industry. How the Switch of the Japanese tech company will fare against a more established Shield K1 machine from the Nvidia group remains to be seen.

The brewing tussle between these two gaming firms may have risen from a leak that had Nvidia allegedly ditching its new product. Due to its close specification proximity with the Nintendo item, the improved Shield unit called Verge has been scrapped.

Due to its uncomplicated outlook, the Nintendo Switch is seen as a pure gaming experience for everybody. What keeps it from getting sidetracked is attributed to its less potent approach.

Judging from the Japanese console's Tegra component, the product does not offer hard core processing. During a test run performed by Eurogamer, the Switch's clocking efficiency is only around 1GHz. What is even more troubling is the underperforming graphics system when used in other platforms.

In contrast, the Nvidia Shield K1 unleashes a considerably stunning 2.2GHz of power. The performance is further heightened with the incorporation of a 2GB RAM.

Although Nintendo's tablet-like 6.2-inch console offers an easy to manage gaming frame with controllers on the side, its 720p resolution is quite questionable. The display seems to project low quality images which can be ascribed to cartoonish features.

Meanwhile, the 8-inch tablet-structured Shield K1 presents an LCD panel with a 1920x1200 resolution. Images are clearly projected even along the surface angles.

In terms of battery life, the Nintendo Switch can sustain its power throughout a regular train or airplane trips. The time table will most likely be within 3.5 to 6 hours.

The Shield packs extensive energy sustainability. Due to its 5,200mAh battery, users are able to attain ten hours of game time.

When it comes to platform attributes, the approach will likely depend on the players. For individuals who simply want to have fun fiddling with cartoon-themed games, the Switch is it.

When it comes to serious gaming activity, the K1 is the primary option. With a mini-HDMI support element and a multi-controller system, Nvidia's console is able to accommodate a 4K resolution display.

With regards to game support and compatibility, the Switch's conformity is limited. Mostly Nintendo titles can be accommodated into its system.

In comparison, the Nvidia Shield K1 unit supports a wide array of games. With a Play Store support capability, the Shield can run and even download all Android plays.
