Mary Tyler Moore's cause of death has been revealed via her death certificate.

Moore reportedly died last week of cardiopulmonary arrest, according to TMZ. The condition is not a heart attack; rather, the heart simply stops beating altogether. As the reports notes, "aspiration pneumonia, hypoxia (lack of oxygen to her tissues) and diabetes mellitus" were all contributing factors.

The beloved actress died on Jan. 25, leaving behind a legacy of comedic and dramatic roles. "Today, beloved icon, Mary Tyler Moore, passed away at the age of 80 in the company of friends and her loving husband of over 33 years, Dr. S. Robert Levine," said her publicist last week.

While Moore was most known for her seminal performances in such comedy stalwarts as The Dick Van Dyke Show and The Mary Tyler Moore Show, she also proved to have dramatic chops too. Her chilly performance in the 1980 film Ordinary People earned her her first and only Oscar nomination.

Moore was laid to rest on Sunday at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Fairfield, Conn.

"It was very quiet, a small group," Fairfield Police Lt. James Perez told the Connecticut Post, adding that there were about 50 people at the service. "There was a brief service. It's a beautiful site that she's at. It's nice what the family did. It was a nice little send-off for her."

Perez noted that the only celebrity he recognized at the service was Bernadette Peters, who starred with Moore in The Last Best Year, a TV movie from 1990.
