Top guns of New Orleans Pelicans are reported to be in talks with Sixers to acquire Jahlil Okafor. The 2015 ACC player of the year seems a good complement to Anthony Davis.

If the NBA trade rumors come to life, Jahlil Okafor and Anthony Davis would help spread the floor for Pelicans' power forward. Okafor, who is averaging 27.8 points, will relieve the pressure from the team's defenders.

The Pelicans is on the 21st place among other NBA teams, with 103.2 points per game. The team seems desperate to have a front court player to take the pressure off from Anthony Davis. The 23 year old has scored 30 points for 22 times, 40 points for five times and 50 points once. He is tied for fifth-most points per game in the league, but it does not seem to boost the team.

Meanwhile, Jahlil Okafor is averaging 15.1 points and shooting.511 from the field according to Philly. Currently, the Pelicans' second-highest scoring front court player is Terrence Jones with 11.4 points per game. The team's centers, Omer Asik and Alexis Ajinca, have an average score of 7.1 points and 9.7 rebounds when combined.

The Pelicans could also want the Sixers to take either Omer Asik or Alexis Ajinca to avoid lengthy contracts to maintain salary cap flexibility. Aside from the Pelicans, the Chicago Bulls is also reported to have taken an interest in Jahlil Okafor.

According to a report by CSN Philly, Jahlil Okafor has some words about him being traded. "Trade rumors are something that's going to be part of my life probably for as long as I'm in the NBA. "I've been hearing it since I've been in the NBA about me being traded. I just try to focus on what I can. That's being here on this team and trying to help this team win."
