Microsoft once again announced a massive sale for their Surface products. This has been the case since the latter part of 2016. Accordingly there are speculations surfacing online that the release of the much probable Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is just around the corner. This is obvious as the company tries to clear out stocks.

The Redmond-based has been offering discounts since Christmas last year. Now, the company is again going clear all. At present, they are giving their customers huge price cuts on Surface products such as Surface Pro and Surface Book. According to Thurrott, the entry-level of Surface Book is now having a price tag of $1,299 coming from $1,499.

Apart from the 2-in-1 device, Surface Pro 4 is also now on sale. For the Pro 4 one with Intel Core m3, 4GB, and 128GB of storage, you can gain it for only $699. Same price goes with or without a Surface Pen also. The one with Intel Core i5 with 8GB and 256GB of storage also have a price of $1,049 coming from $1,199. The sale will be available there until Feb. 25.

Moreover, a report from Market Exclusive claims that the new Microsoft Surface Pro 5 might be coming with full support for the recently unveiled Microsoft Surface Dial. The Surface Dial was initially unveiled with the company's new all-in-one desktop computer, the Microsoft Surface Studio. Additionally, apart from the Surface Dial, the next-generation Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is also rumored to get a all new rechargeable Surface Pen. This accessory is expected to offer greater functionality as well.

On the specs front the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to be coming with the latest generation Intel Kaby Lake processors paired with up to 16GB of RAM. This combination will give the device a boost in both performance and battery life. According to Forbes, the new Microsoft Surface Pro 5 may even exceed the latest Apple MacBook Pro in terms of raw performance because of the newer chip.

Now, because of this recent massive sale from the company, rumor hints that Microsoft would soon release their new tablet i.e. Microsoft Surface Pro 5. Previous reports have revealed that the launch of the device will take place sometime in spring. However, the exact date was not disclosed as the company has remained silent about it. On the other hand, it looks like the device will roll out sooner than expected.

This ongoing sale will certainly clear out some space on retail shops. Some also interpret that, it as a way of Microsoft to prepare their retailers for their upcoming device. So the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 must be around the corner and can get release before than expected.
