Apple is reportedly planning big things for their new smartwatch, the Apple Watch 3. Rumors claim that the wearable device will have an improved battery life and a portable charger which will work even if the smartwatch is being worn.

The claim about Apple Watch 3's improved battery life is coming from Chinese media Economic Daily News via Digitimes. The second-generation model is already powered with better battery than the original iteration, so this speculation is highly possible. Apple also claims that its smartwatch has an all-day battery life, but the problem with the all-day battery is that you have to charge it every evening.

However, this is not the only feature expected from the Apple Watch 3. According to 9 to 5 Mac, it's likely that Apple will introduce the longer use of the wearable device between charges. Perhaps the tech giant can also make charging every two or three days happen instead of every day.

The Apple Watch 3 might also have an always-on display. The previous models' raise-to-wake detection is fine, but some users still prefer reading time without displaying animations and the rest of the device's face. Possibly the most interesting element in the device is how these modules would be quickly swappable. For instance, if you wanted to include a blood pressure monitor for a few months you'd be able to click it into the wrist band to monitor your health.

It was earlier reported that the Apple is working on new sleep tracking and fitness apps for future Apple Watch models, as per the Bloomberg. Apple Watch 3's advanced heart rate app can measure fitness by examining how long it takes for a heartbeat to reach resting rate from a peak. The HealthKit and the Health app are also said to undergo expansions.

Built-in sleep tracking is also being planned for Apple Watch 3. Users can download watchOS apps on the App Store such as AutoSleep, however Apple is yet to introduce their own app for this purpose. There are expectations that the next wearable device from Apple will have cellular connectivity. With this feature, streaming songs on Apple Music and sending and receiving iMessages can be done on the wearable without relying on iPhone.

The revamped battery pack will be hidden under the Apple's band or its chassis. With this design, the smartwatch's sensitive internal parts are protected and its appearance is more agreeable to the eyes. The Cupertino-based company is expected to release the Apple Watch 3 in September this year. The third edition of the smartwatch from Apple is said to come at $269, which is the same price as the Watch 2.
