Queen Elizabeth's Ad has called for an extraordinary part-time cleaner. She wants her Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh to get special treatment. The requirement is to "deliver extraordinary service in incredible surroundings." Are you game for it?

Hence, what is called for by Queen Elizabeth's Ad is a part-time cleaner at the official Scottish house. It is a pretty interesting job, which is priced at £8788 a year at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh. About 20 hours over five days is involved every week.

You can check out Queen Elizabeth's Ad on the Royal website that explains another strange qualification. The job is about "admiring a spotless room before thousands do the same." It added that it calls for "extraordinary service in incredible surroundings," according to Daily Record.

The palace is extraordinary too, of course! It is situated at the bottom of the Royal Mile in Edinburgh.Holyroodhouse Palace has been the main residence of Scottish royalty since the 16th century. Queen Elizabeth spends a week overseeing a number of official ceremonies at Holyrood Palace, in the beginning of every summer. The beautiful 16th-century Historic Apartments of Mary, Queen of Scots and the State Apartments are thrown open to the public all through the year unless the royal family shifts here.

Now, the cleaner needs to work in every area of the palace, including the "public visitor route, staff offices, and Staterooms," says Queen Elizabeth's Ad. The rooms need to be presented to their "best" for "colleagues, visitors and, of course, the Royal Family," adds the advertisement. With high aims for the best standards, the employee would need to "clean and care" for different interiors as well as items. They would include "restrooms, carpets, and furniture, to historic vases and irreplaceable paintings." Check it out. In case you are interested, the application is open until March 22!
