The Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung galaxy S6 Edge and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ owners will be pleased as the Android 7.0 Nougat is already available for their handsets. The said firmware upgrade is expected to bring some enhancements and new features.

According to TNH Online, it was in the end of February when Samsung has revealed that the Android 7.0 Nougat for Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ is almost complete. Now, the South Korean tech giant has gone live with the newest OS for the Galaxy S6 handsets.

There has been news stating that the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge users in Italy, Germany and Switzerland are already obtaining the Android 7.0 Nougat with version G925FXXU5EQBG. Aside from that, Vodafone in the UK is also starting to roll out the said firmware for its Galaxy S6 users.

Furthermore, Droid Report has learned there have been reports stating that the Android 7.0 Nougat for Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ in Turkey is now available for download. Upon upgrading to the said firmware its version will turn into G928CXXU3CQC7.

Upon updating to Android 7.0Nougat, the owners of Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung galaxy S6 Edge and Samsung galaxy S6 Edge+ will experience new features like Multi Window and Doze Mode. Apart from that, the firmware will also deliver new and enhanced performance that will offer a better experience to the users of these devices. The battery life endurance will also be amended upon updating the software.

Moreover, the Android 7.0 Nougat for Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ are released through over-the-air. This basically means that the upgrade will not be rolled out all at once instead it will be on phases; thus some of the users of these handsets will have to wait until the firmware hit their smartphones. Nevertheless, they could always manually check by going to Settings > About Phone > Software Update.
