A photographer filed a lawsuit against Justin Bieber and one of his bodyguards, claiming the singer directed his handlers to attack him and steal his memory card with one in specific allegedly threatening him with a gun during the incident.

Photographer Jeffrey Binion filed a police report on June 5, claiming Bieber's bodyguards physcially attacked him while he tried to take photos of the singer outside Miami's Hit Factory recording studio.

Binion now filed suit against Bieber and bodyguard Hugp Hesny, according to TMZ. In the report, Binion claimed Bieber was behind the attack, and also that Hesny threw him against a wall, grabbed him by the throat, and "displayed a gun" holstered under his shirt. The alleged physical assault happened while Hesny and the other bodyguards took Binion's memory card from his camera.

Binion said he suffered bodily injury, pain and mental distress that incurred medical expenses, according to the news report. He also insisted that he is a professional photographer and not a paparazzi one.

"Justin Bieber is now an adult, and he should act like one. He needs to learn that he cannot use bodyguards as weapons to harm innocent people," Binion's lawyer, Russell S. Adler, told the website. "Bieber's violent behavior toward photographers must end, and he should take responsibility for his actions."

"No amount of fame or fortune justifies Bieber's shameful and outrageous conduct," he added. "To send him that message and deter his misbehavior in the future, we will seek punitive damages against him as allowed by Florida law."

Adler additionally claimed that Hesny is not licensed to work as a bodyguard in Florida, and that he also does not have a concealed weapons carrying permit in the state.

A rep for Bieber had no comment when approached by the website.

Enstars reported on Sunday that Bieber's bodyguards are under investigation for allegedly harming someone who was trying to take his picture. Police opened a misdemeanor battery investigation in regards to the incident but Bieber is not considered a suspect.
