Selena Gomez has a strong support system in her life and over the summer, as she underwent a kidney transplant, her boyfriend, The Weeknd, proved he was a part of that.

Following Gomez's shocking health crisis, a source claims the "Starboy" singer has proved his full dedication to her by remaining at her side throughout her surgery and recovery.

“Abel has been one of her biggest supports. She had been traveling with him on his tour and he was off during her surgery and right after during her recovery,” an insider told People magazine. “He’s been very caring and it’s meant a lot to her to have him by her side.”

While The Weeknd is currently on tour, he did whatever he could to be by Gomez's side as she endured her surgery and the healing process that followed.

“She was feeling really lethargic and worn out before the surgery,” the insider explained. “The surgery was a couple months ago so she’s been recovering and is in a much healthier place now. Her close group of girlfriends have all been there for her.”

According to another report, The Weeknd recently moved in with Gomez and will continue to keep his eye on her whenever he's in town.

“The Weeknd has done everything right and then some,” a source close to Gomez revealed to Hollywood Life. “When she got really sick they hadn’t even been together that long, like less than six months. He was in the middle of his tour, he could have easily pulled away and blamed it on work. But it was the opposite, he stepped up to the plate and was solid as a rock.”
