Tina Campbell of Mary Mary has explained why she voted for Donald Trump after she received lots of flack for casting her ballot for the 45th President.

Tina and her sister, Erica Campbell, stopped by The Real earlier this week. Tina took that time to explain why she thought Trump was a better candidate than Clinton.

“I said, if during your campaign what you said appealed to me and it appealed to my Christian values more than the other candidate, then when it comes down to it, I chose based on my faith. I didn’t really like any of the candidates if I can just be honest. But it was two people who had a chance of winning. And so I voted based on my faith.”

Despite voting for Trump, Tina said she’s not completely on board with his decisions.

“Do I agree with everything that’s being done and being said? No. Do I promote and advocate any of that? No. And do I choose to give any more of my time to anybody who has an opinion about my right to vote and who I vote for and what’s behind it? Not at all. So what’s the next question?”

She added that she will continue to pray for him.

“As a Christian I’m supposed to pray for the leaders, stand with does not mean I agree with everything. It means that I pray for you…”

Loni Love jumped in and said people are “upset because of the things he’s been doing to the country.”

Tina said she’s also “upset” with Trump’s choices, and reiterated she doesn’t “agree” with all of them.

“I established that in my letter but nobody wants to talk about that,” she said, referring to an open letter she wrote about voting for Trump.

When Loni asked if she understood why people were “upset” with Tina’s decision, she said, “I ain’t out campaigning for nobody but Jesus.”
