Police cleared pop singer Justin Bieber of any suspicion of a hit-and-run on Tuesday after he struck a paparazzo in Hollywood.

The incident happened around 11:45 p.m. on Monday as the 19-year-old Beauty and a Beat singer was leaving the Laugh Factory comedy club, according to TMZ.

He and rapper Lil Twist were photographed outside the venue, located at 8001 Sunset Blvd. Bieber got behind the wheel of his white Ferrari and motioned to clear the paparazzi out of the way so that he could drive, the website noted. When he drove off he reportedly pinned one man between his vehicle and a parked car, according to Reuters. Bieber did not stop the car and continued to drive away.

Video obtained by L.A. TV station KCAL showed Bieber behind the wheel of the car, surrounded by paparazzi, as he tried to leave the club. LAPD officers arrived at the club but a preliminary investigation revealed that no crime was committed, police said. Bieber reportedly told police that he did not realize he hit anyone.

The traffic collision occurred outside of the Laugh Factory at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Crescent Heights. The photographer was treated at a hospital for injuries to his left leg, according to the news report.

Bieber took to Twitter on Tuesday to address the incident, though not directly. He tweeted, "sometimes u just wanna go to a comedy club and have a laugh. no trouble. just want to laugh."

He later posted "im all about the music," perhaps hinting to his Believe tour, which resumes Saturday in San Diego.

Prosecutors are still investigating a March incident where Bieber allegedly spit on a neighbor who confronted him about the singer's fast driving in the gated community where he lives.
