Kid Rock predicts Justin Bieber will have a long, slow fall from grace, citing the 19-year-old's recent bad press, and the rocker also poked fun at the pop star's music career, during an appearance on the Howard Stern Show.

"Tell me if this is wrong, Justin Bieber is 100 percent like Vanilla Ice all over again," he said. "It's exactly the same."

When Stern mentioned that Vanilla Ice was a one-hit-wonder, Rock said that when Bieber produced a hit he would be more like Ice.

In the past, Rock has been critical of other pop acts like 'N Sync and The Backstreet Boys. Stern seemed to be aware of Rock's history and asked the Detroit native whether he generally disliked teenybopper pop music. Rock seemed to change the narrative of the conversation by alluding to Bieber's troubled rock star lifestyle.

""The kid's young; he's got some money; he's got the world in his hands; it's just kind of sad to see him go down this trajectory," said Rock. "It's going to be a very long ride down. We all know the story. I kind of feel for the kid, to be honest with you."

The trajectory Rock referred to is Bieber's recent string of infractions, which have been highly publicized, most recently of which found the Canadian singer involved in a hit-and-run with a member of the paparazzi.

On Jun 17, Bieber apparently pinned a phototgrapher against a parked car, while driving his white Ferrari as he left Los Angeles' Laugh Factory club. The incident left the paparazzo with a gash on his leg, and Bieber drove off without checking with the photographer to make sure he was ok. Los Angeles police questioned Bieber and his representatives about the incident but found the pop star wasn't at fault because the photographer was technically a pedestrian who shouldn't have been in the roadway.
