After three years of dating writer-producer Brad Falchuk, Gwyneth Paltrow can't wait to walk down the aisle for the first time.
The actress is as bright-eyed as any other soon-to-be bride, saying that she's very excited for the big day and everything that comes with it.
"I've never had a wedding before," she tells People. "So even though I'm 45, I sort of feel like a 21-year-old."
Paltrow and first husband Chris Martin eloped back in 2003.
Tying The Knot (Again)
When the newly engaged couple announced their plans of getting married in the January issue of Goop Magazine, Paltrow also shares why the pair decided to get hitched despite her fear of intimacy, which she had previously called a "lifelong project."
"Personally, at midlife, I have tried to accept how complex romantic love can be," Paltrow explains. "I have decided to give it a go again, not only because I believe I have found the man I was meant to be with, but because I have accepted the soul-stretching, pattern-breaking opportunities that (terrifyingly) are made possible by intimacy."
The couple met on the set of Glee, a television show that Falchuk co-created and Paltrow appeared as a guest star. Aside from being part of the same industry, the actress says that she shares a similar lifestyle and philosophies with her beau, so their lives are in sync, from exercise habits to food preference.
Having just announced their engagement, Paltrow and Falchuk are still in early stages of planning the wedding. Nothing is set in stone yet, but in the meantime, the Goop founder is enjoying discussing her upcoming nuptials with friends.
"It's kind of fun to talk about with my girlfriends," Paltrow says. "They send me pictures of dresses - they're as excited about it as I am. It's pretty cute."
Chris Martin's Girlfriend
Paltrow was previously married to Martin for 11 years before they rocked Hollywood with the announcement of their "conscious uncoupling" back in 2014. Three years later, the pair still enjoys a close relationship with their two children, Apple and Moses.
Even their significant others are part of their modern family. The actress-businesswoman often posts pictures with Martin and the kids, and sometimes even with Falchuk in the mix.
