Before Kim Kardashian and Kanye West named their daughter North West, they had another name in mind.

Earlier this week, rumors spread that the couple picked Kaidence Donda West, after a nurse reportedly slipped up the news to the media, but according to a source who spoke exclusively to Enstars, beginnng the name with the letter "K" was never an option.

The source said that Kardashian, 32, and West, 36 were debating between: Winter West or North West.

No word on how the first-time parents finally decided on North, but reports indicated the baby already has a nickname, "Nori."

Websters dictionary definition describes Nori as a seaweed having a mildly sweet, salty taste, usually dried, used in Japanese cookery mainly as a wrap for sushi.

However, babynames.com defines the meaning of the name Nori as a belief and the origin of the name is Japanese.

The news of the baby's name comes as a surprise to many, though Kardashian earlier denied that the baby's girl name would be North.

"I don't know where that came from," the reality star said when E! News questioned about rumors surrounding North.

"It's cute! I actually think it's cute," Kardashian added. "I think our name will definitely probably be unique, but we really haven't picked a name yet," she added.

Meanwhile, the source also revealed that there were no reality cameras inside of the hospital room when Kardashian gave birth, just a personal camcorder that documented the baby's arrival.

TMZ was the first to report the news of the baby's birth and the tabloid site recently uploaded North's birth certificate

The official document indicated that the baby was born at Cedars-Sinai hospital on June 15 at 5:34 am, weighing under 5 lbs.

A middle name is not listed for baby North, and parents Kardashian and West are obviously entered in on the certificate.

Kardashian nor West have yet comment on the baby news.
