Teresa Giudice and her costars have reportedly been encouraged to publicly brag about The Real Housewives of New Jersey amid the show's alleged ratings slump.

According to a new report, Bravo TV wants Giudice and the rest of the cast, including Dolores Catania, Melissa Gorga, Margaret Josephs, and Danielle Staub, to support the show publicly and if they don't, they are being told that the upcoming season's premiere could be delayed indefinitely.

On Feb. 16, Radar Online revealed that the network had chosen to postpone filming on the upcoming ninth season after their full-time cast member Siggy Flicker suddenly quit the show at the end of last year. Since then, they have reportedly been striking out when it comes to finding another cast member to fill the empty space she left.

“The producers have ordered all the ladies to speak positively about the show,” an insider revealed. “Everyone has been told that they must talk about how excited they are to film again and to get going, even though production is still on hold.”

In addition to the production start date being delayed, the premiere date of season nine has also been put on ice as casting continues for a new woman — or a couple.

Flicker announced her exit from the show in December of last year after feuding with Josephs throughout the season. This is because of a comment made by Josephs that Flicker deemed insensitive to Holocaust victims.

While many of the women of the show are doing just fine when it comes to their finances, others, including Giudice, have been plagued by rumors of financial struggles. So, when it comes to the alleged production delay, the remaining women of the show may be feeling a bit anxious.

“Teresa depends on the paycheck. She has four girls to support and a lifestyle to lead that is expensive. She has to start filming and get paid,” the insider said. “Season eight was pushed back and that delayed their paychecks. Bravo is threatening to hold up season 9 as long as it takes to find someone new. And this really hurts Teresa and everyone else.”

According to Radar Online, production was set to begin on The Real Housewives of New Jersey season nine on Feb. 1 but still, nothing has happened and as the women remain in limbo, concerns are growing about a potential cancellation of the entire series.
