Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence has played her fair share of difficult characters but her latest movie might have just pushed her to the limit.

A Challenging Role

For spy thriller Red Sparrow, Lawrence first had to master a challenging Russian accent.

"I've never done a foreign accent before. It was daunting and scary but I hope we pulled it off," Lawrence admitted during a roundtable discussion with ET.

The upcoming movie sees the Oscar-winner starring as prima ballerina turned super spy Dominika Egorova. She must undergo a sadistic training school program in order to learn how to properly kill operatives.

It's based on the 2013 novel of the same name by Jason Matthews. The Hunger Games star had to master the art of ballet to the best of her ability prior to filming, but it wasn't the most daunting aspect of the production.

Red Sparrow features some explicitly sexual moments for Lawrence's character, most notably with one scene in which she has to appear fully nude.

"Your nightmare comes true from grade school, where you're standing naked in front of a classroom full of people. So that became a reality, but it actually wasn't that bad," she said.

Rising To The Occasion

Although Lawrence was extremely nervous the night before, she was incredibly relaxed when the time came to actually do the scene in question, maybe even a little bit too relaxed.

"I probably at a certain point started making everybody else uncomfortable. Because I'd be like, 'I don't want the robe. I'm hot. I'm eating.' Everybody's like, 'She needs to cover up,' " Lawrence joked.

The actress reportedly got really drunk before shooting her first sex scene with co-star Chris Pratt for sci-fi movie Passengers. She may not have required that kind of help on this project, though, considering her big issue back then was that Pratt was a married man and Lawrence was consumed with guilt as a result.

Lawrence attended BFF Amy Schumer's surprise wedding last week, in Malibu, where she joked about revealing a little more than intended in the accompanying photos, thanks to neglecting to button up her dress.

Meanwhile, she's reportedly taking a year off acting in 2019 to focus on activism instead. Lawrence is working with Represent Us, a non-profit organization working to curb political corruption.

Red Sparrow hits theaters March 2.
