One of the stars of the hit reality MTV series Jersey Shore who made a lasting impression is Nicole Polizzi, commonly known as Snooki, who reveals she then gets a meek $200 per week.

Jersey Shore won't be complete without Snooki, justified by the creation of her own spinoff, Snooki & JWoww. However, a recent interview gave light on how much she received during the first season of the show, which revolved around eight people who lived together during summer.

Apparently, Snooki and the cast didn't receive anything from the show in its first run and instead got $200 per week from the Shore Store. If anything was better back then, it was that she didn't experience the gender wage gap complained by celebrities nowadays.

"I had never gotten that much in a week, like, every single week, because you usually get paid every two weeks. That was crazy for me," Snooki candidly revealed.

It isn't at all sad for Snooki during the heyday of Jersey Shore. She gained much traction and prominence after having a good time, after all. She also gained one thing, her love for working, which she said she won't stop doing, although she has a retirement account.

Value Of Money

But of working, the idea wasn't entirely new for Snooki who grew up in a middle class family. The 30-year-old mom narrated that her parents made her a responsible spender and taught her the value of money. At 13, she already landed her first job, a far less glamorous than being a reality star.

When she was in high school, she sold food at a stadium and received generous tips from customers. Today, Snooki spends most of her money on her kids, 5-year-old Lorenzo Dominic and 3-year-old Giovanna Marie.

"An opportunity for my kids to have the best life possible when it comes to going to a good college and having a good future," Snooki explained on what money can offer best.

But that doesn't mean the children get to have whatever they want. The former wrestler stressed she wanted her kids to be raised the way she was, and that meant working for their own money.

Snooki and the cast of the show are heading back to make trending quips and remarks again, as they reunite for Jersey Shore Family Vacation, sans Sammi Giancola. This time, it is sure that they won't be getting $200 a week. The show airs every Thursday at 8 p.m. ET on MTV.
