Hank Baskett has responded to ex-wife Kendra Wilkinson's divorce request and cited the same reason for the separation on his divorce filing submitted on April 6.

Divorce Filing

There was no drama involved with Baskett's response to Wilkinson's divorce request. The separation seemed mutual as Baskett mirrored his ex-wife in the filing. The former NFL player cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the separation. The 35-year old also requested for the same parental benefits as Wilkinson. 

Baskett asked for joint legal and physical custody of their two children: son Hank IV, 8, and daughter Alijah Mary, 3. Likewise, he mirrored the Kendra on Top star's date of separation on her divorce filing. He listed Jan. 1, 2018. He also requested to "reserve for future determination" the issue of spousal support, same as Wilkinson.

The Split

Wilkinson confirmed that she and Baskett have separated after nearly nine years of marriage in an Instagram message posted on the same day she filed for divorce.

"Today is the last day of my marriage to this beautiful man. I will forever love Hank and be open but for now we have chosen to go our own ways," Wilkinson captioned a photo of her and Baskett.

In the same post, the former Playboy Bunny admitted that she is heartbroken and sad because she did believe in forever. However, she reasoned that "too much fear has gotten in the way" of her marriage.

Regardless, she is grateful that she and Baskett are both amazing parents and share the same devotion and love for their kids. She said the children will be happy and never know the difference other than seeing their mother smile.

"Sometimes love looks funny. We are told to make sacrifices in life if it's true love well, in this case, it's me," Wilkinson continued and wrote her wish to see Baskett happy again. She also said that people will probably still see her and Baskett together a lot because there is no hate in their divorce.

"Thank you Hank for a beautiful 8 years of marriage and 2 beautiful kids. I feel so thankful and blessed," the 32-year-old Wilkinson concluded her message.

Baskett and Wilkinson were together during the weekend to cheer on their children on the soccer field. On Saturday, they cheered on Alijah and got together again on Sunday for Hank IV's soccer game. The former Playboy Playmate shared a video that showed her ex-husband was there too.
