Meet, True Thompson. Kris Jenner is psyched for the birth of her newest granddaughter and she's even more psyched with the baby girl's name.

Jenner, 62, expressed her excitement on Instagram, posting a celebratory photo of dozens of pink balloons in honor of Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson's newborn daughter.

The Story Behind The Name True

In the social media post, Jenner also spilled on the history of the infant's name True. Apparently, the unconventional choice is somewhat of a family name, despite the lack of a "K" might suggest.

"I'm so excited to welcome my precious little granddaughter True!!!" Jenner wrote as a caption. "FUN FACT... my Grandfather's name on my Dad's side was True Otis Houghton....my Dad's name was Robert True Houghton...so I am so excited Khloe named her daughter True!!!"

True is Khloe's first child, so it's understandable that it took a while for the couple to decide on a name.

If the reality star ended up with a baby boy, she previously told Ellen DeGeneres that she would have named it Tristan Jr. after her baby daddy. Khloe also revealed that she had been considering "K" names to honor her family or "T" names for Tristan.

It looks like the reality star eventually found a happy balance between her family and partner by getting a "T" name that's inspired by her grandfather and great-grandfather.

True Gets Tristan's Last Name

One of the notable things about the revelation of the baby's name is Khloe's decision to give True her father's last name, especially after his alleged cheating scandal just before she gave birth.

Apparently, the baby's last name wasn't an issue at all. A source reveals that Khloe always meant for her newborn to get Thompson's name, even after the controversy surrounding the couple.

"Khloe still very much loves Tristan, and this baby is one half his," an insider tells People about the decision. "True is their child together. Giving the baby his last name was never in question."

Furthermore, Khloe is hoping to move on from Tristan's alleged infidelity.

"Khloe really wants to be able to forgive and trust Tristan again and have the life she hoped to have with him," the source continues. "She doesn't know if she'll be able to do that, but that's the goal. She loves the life they had, she loves the baby they have together, and she still loves the dream of being a family together."
