Prince William To Be Prince Harry's Best Man At Wedding To Meghan Markle

Prince William adds one extra duty to his growing list of responsibilities. He will be standing by Prince Harry as the best man when his younger brother weds Meghan Markle next month.

Best Man Duties

On Thursday, April 26, Kensington Palace announced that Prince Harry asked his older brother, the Duke of Cambridge, to be his best man. Prince Harry previously served as his older brother's best man for his wedding to then bride-to-be, Catherine Middleton, back in 2011.

To commemorate the announcement, the Kensington Palace's Twitter account released several photos of the brothers. The photos show the two princes playing with lightsabers and at Prince William's 2011 royal wedding.

In addition, the palace also posted a special Throwback Thursday picture of the two as young children wearing police hats.

Twitter Reacts

Countless admirers of the royal family posted well-wishes and congratulations on the palace's Twitter account. Some users thought that it's quite obvious that Prince William is going to be Prince Harry's ultimate choice while others praised the decision for showing brotherly love.

Several fans seemed to be more curious about the new royal baby's name.

Royal insiders reported that the former Suits star bonded with her future sister-in-law as she adjusts to royal family protocol, which includes not having an access to social media.
