Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence will finally walk down the aisle and say 'I Do' to her fiancé, art director Cooke Maroney.

Eight months after Maroney's proposal, the 2016 world's highest-paid actress will have her wedding at a Rhode Island venue this coming Saturday.

It was in June 2018 when Lawrence was spotted going out with the art gallerist for the first time. They got engaged in February of this year, although they have kept their relationship as low key as possible -- which is why they chose to hold the wedding at an island away from the public's eyes.

Keeping it Private

Maroney and Lawrence broke their privacy rules when they shared a "goodbye kiss" in the middle of pedestrians. The couple seemed to have decided to finally let people see their rare PDA moment before they tie knots.

However, the PDA surprised a lot of fans since Lawrence kept it low and chose to prioritize her privacy after her nudes photos surfaced online following a phone hacking incident in 2014.

Lawrence became more keen and careful after the event. She revealed to Adam Sandler during the "Variety's Actors on Actors" that the trauma she got after the incident made her more self-protective in public.

Despite what she had been through, Maroney was able to protect his girl and helped her overcome what she feared the most.

Even Lawrence saw Maroney as "the one", too. During the NAKED with Catt Sandler Podcast, the bride-to-be shared a sneak peek of their wedding plans and even told a story about the time she knew Maroney was the right person.

She said that she already thought of marrying him the first time she laid her eyes on him, and Maroney felt the same. It was not being lucky in playing the lottery, but Lawrence saw her future husband as her "favorite person she cannot leave."

In addition, the award-winning actress confessed that Maroney was the best person she ever met in this lifetime, and she found it very easy to decide marrying someone like him.

Maroney and Lawrence -- 2nd Marriage?

Just a month ago, the soon-to-be husband and wife have reportedly visited the Marriage Bureau of New York's City Hall. People speculated that they secretly held their first marriage at the city hall.

They were spotted going into the venue with their mutual friend and photographer, making fans wonder if the really got married before the private wedding this Saturday.

As stated on a now-deleted tweet, the "witness" who was also getting their marriage license reportedly saw the couple tie the knots before their eyes. They even said that they could call the City Hall as a "go-to" right after they saw Lawrence and Maroney.

However, amid all the speculations, Lawrence and Maroney kept the details themselves and did not address the rumors.

Whether they already married secretly before the official wedding or if they just got their marriage license will remain a mystery. Nonetheless, they are now getting married for real and people can safely send their best wishes now.
