Uh-oh-- did Taylor Swift just reveal the mysterious guy behind her 'Blank Space' song?

In a recent interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1, Taylor Swift shared about emo bands, zingers, and her favourite all-time lyricists. As it turns out, Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz and Lana del Rey are her inspirations behind one of her most popular songs.

The "Blank Space" singer went on and revealed if she were to pick a favourite lyricist, she would have Pete Wentz tied with Lana del Rey. Taylor further said that "Blank Space" was an amusing song about people who go for one after another after another, which she learned from listening to Fall Out Boy

"Pete Wentz is probably -- If I had to pick a favorite lyricist -- it would be a tie between him and Lana Del Rey," Swift revealed. "'Blank Space' is a song that's just zingers, one after another after another, which I definitely learned from listening to Fall Out Boy."

In a previous interview with GQ, the singer-songwriter also shared her concept behind the 'Blank Space' song. She revealed that most of the things she wrote on the said song -- just like the case in her other works -- are "satire." She added that taking a creative license and creating things that are bigger than life is not her approach when it comes to relationships.

"You can write things like I get drunk on jealousy but you'll come back each time you leave, 'cause darling I'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream. That is not my approach to relationships," Swift said.

"But is it cool to write the narrative of a girl who's crazy but seductive but glamorous but nuts but manipulative? That was the character I felt the media had written for me, and for a long time I felt hurt by it. I took it personally. But as time went by, I realized it was kind of hilarious."

Taylor surely has a thing for emo bands, because that isn't the first time she has been inspired by them. In 2011, Taylor did a cover of Fall Out Boy's 2005 hit, "Sugar, We're Goin' Down" in one of her sold-out shows in Chicago. She told her crowd of fans that the song was something she listened to and sang in her freshman year in high school.

Moreover, in 2013, Taylor performed "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light 'Em Up) with the band at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

In her cover story last month for Rolling Stone, Taylor shared she is a huge fan of the Fall Out Boy. The pop superstar revealed how the band's song influenced her more than anyone in a lyrical aspect.
