Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have flown away from Britain and their royal duties to temporarily take a break, but it does not stop them from supporting and spreading their causes and projects.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex started their six-week break in the U.S with their son, Archie Mounbatten-Windsor, to spend time with Markle's family during the holiday season.

Despite stepping back from the royal watchers, they spared some time to deliver special messages to the people involved in the celebration of World Access to Higher Education Day.

Through the Association of Commonwealth Universities, Markle's patronage, she released a statement on how colleges and universities play important roles in this world. The Duchess of Sussex also emphasized how it can be beneficial to people notwithstanding their gender, race and socioeconomic background.

In the same press release, Meghan tackled about how they aim to provide access to higher education to their beneficiaries since the value of what they can learn "cannot be understated".

"Because education expands mindsets, and those minds can then expand the scope of the world at large. From a micro to a macro level, it is with the education that we see great change," Meghan Markle went on.

Markle also shared one instance when she met Kenyan Simon Kiongo, who successfully had the opportunity to get into higher education just by trading vegetables from his family's farm in order to pay his tuition fees and other costs.

Kiongo, according to Markle, is currently doing remarkable research to beat cancer and help the community in his country. She described Kiongo as "higher education in action."

Prince Harry Also Working

Meanwhile, Prince Harry sent a video message and presented it at Oslo RevCon. The Duke of Sussex spoke about the projects started by his late mother, Princess Diana, and how he is doing anything to continue her works.

He focused on delivering an inspiring message regarding how some parts of this world can be dangerous landmines. But thanks to Princess Diana for turning an active landmine field before into a healthy community today.

Moreover, Prince Harry reminisced how the Princess saw danger in all those mines she walked on and saw pain and suffering in the community.

Prince Harry also opened up about the schoolchildren, who remained unaware that the land they are standing right now was once a field full of mines.

The two are still active with their advocacies, and they are making the world even better even when they are taking an off from royal duties.

Sussexes Keep In Touch; Royal Family Does Not

Royal watchers expected this time-off to be serene, but since the beginning of their vacation away from the British Royal family, it seemed like the couple never received a word from anyone in the family.

A source told People that no one in the family has checked on them or texted even once. Some royal watchers assumed that the royal family is just too tired to check on their phones after Prince Andrew withdrew from his royal duties following his disastrous interview about his ties with Jeffrey Epstein.

"There hasn't been this complete 180. Nothing has changed. They don't speak, no one is checking in, no one is texting," the People insider went on.
