Despite being a couple years away from the big screen, Star Wars: Episode VII continues to garner an increasing amount of anticipation over its future release.

While there haven't been any recent announcements related to the flick, Warwick Davis did come out to Business-Standard to proclaim his interest in a role.

The respective actor, 43, had donned the part of Ewok in 1983's Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, and also played a small role in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.

"You have to drop hints. I don't know whose ear to drop them in anymore, but I think Kathleen Kennedy's quite a good start. I'd love to do it and the fact they're filming in England makes it much easier. I just think it would be wonderful to be connected to all three trilogies," he said.

"A villain would be nice. Some sort of villainous character with a lightsaber. I'd enjoy that," Davis added.

What Culture reported that Star Wars: Episode VII will be set around the time period following the events of Return of the Jedi. The movie will be directed by J.J. Abrams and is scheduled to be released on July 15, 2015. A fan-made movie trailer can be watched below. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest happenings on the movie.
