Sooraj Pancholi, who has been in the news in connection with the Jiah Khan suicide case, will star in the official remake of 1983 Jackie Shroff blockbuster Hero led by Salman Khan.

The producer specially called Pancholi, 22, to Hyderabad again to spend some time with him and help the actor forget the media frenzy he is at the center of because of Jiah's suicide, One India Entertainment reported. Pancholi went to visit Salman, who is currently filming Mental in Hyderabad, but had to return to Mumbai the next day since he is court-ordered to report to a Mumbai police station every alternate day.

"This time, Suraj was in a much better state to talk. Salman is trying his best to make Suraj feel better, a source reportedly told a India daily about Pancholi. "The star has asked him to focus on his work and get back to his daily routine."

Pancholi spent 21 days in jail for abetting Bollywood actress/his girlfriend Jiah Khan's suicide on June 3. He was released on bail on July 1 on the terms that he does not leave the country and reports to a police station every other day.

Pancholi is the son of actor couple Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, The Hero remake, film titled Tu Mera Hero Hai, will also star Suneil Shetty's daughter Athiya Shetty in the lead.

A First Information Report (FIR) was recently registered against Aditya and his domestic help for allegedly trespassing into his neighbor Bhargav Patel's house and misbehaving with their servant, according to a Tuesday report. The written document is prepared by police organizations in India after they receive information about a cognizable offence being committed. It is only after the FIR is registered in the police station that the police take up investigation of a case.

A police official said about Aditya's offence, "Patel's domestic help alleged that he was attacked by Pancholi's domestic help Sunil at the actor's behest due to his past enmity with the Patel's family."
