Documentry filmmaker Michael Moore filed for divorce from his wife of 21 years Kathleen Glynn.

Court records show the Bowling for Columbine director and producer filed for divorce on June 17. The records also show he is being represented by Joseph Aviv.

Mlive.com reported Moore, who is best known for his controversial documentaries, and Glynn no longer live together and that their relationship has broken down with no chance of being able to be fixed. Both Moore and Glynn are Flint, Michigan natives and got married there in October 1991. Mlive.com also reported in their July 18 article that according to county records Glynn has not answered the divorce complaint yet and has no attorney. The couple have no children, but have a Torch Lake home that has an estimated worth of 1.2 million.

Glynn worked on many of Moore's projects such as Bowling for Columbine, Sicko and Fahrenheit 9/11. They also wrote the book Adventures in a TV Nation together.

Celebritynetworth.com claims Moore has an estimated net worth of 50 million dollars.

Moore isn't the only celebrity to end a lengthy marriage. Al and Tipper Gore divorced in 2010 after 40 years of marriage and Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver ended their marriage in 2011 after 25 years.
