Suraj Pancholi on Sunday attended his first party a month and a half after his girlfriend, Jiah Khan, committed suicide. 

The actor was photographed at MLA Baba Siddiqui's Iftaar bash with his father, famed Bollywood actor Aditya Pancholi. Suraj had a slight smile on his face as photographers took his photo. The 22-year-old wore to the party jeans, black sneakers and a simple white buttoned-down shirt. Aditya wore black jeans and a tucked in jean shirt. The father and son reportedly kept to themselves throughout the affair and were not spotted mingling with other partygoers.

Also in attendance at the party was Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. Suraj will star in the official remake of the 1983 Jackie Shroff blockbuster Hero, produced by Salman. Even though they will work together on the upcoming project, DailyBhaskar.com reported that Salman kept away from Aditya and Suraj at the Iftar party.   

Suraj was released on bail on July 1 after being accused in the Jiah Khan suicide case while Aditya was recently accused of assaulting his neighbor, and an F.I.R was registered against him a few days ago. Suraj must report a police station every other day and cannot leave the country, according to the terms of his bail.

Jiah hung herself in her Mumbai home on July 1. Her mother, Rabiya Khan, accused Suraj of abetting Jiah's suicide and authorities arrested him on June 10. She then posted on Twitter love letters and text messages exchanged between the former couple to prove Suraj's role in her daughter's suicide. Rabiya wrote that she had always wanted Jiah to end her relationship with Suraj because of his "abusive " nature. 

However, a judge ruled that Suraj could not be held solely responsible for the "impulsive" act by 25-year-old actress.
