The world was surprised a few days ago when Armie Hammer and his estranged wife, Elizabeth Chambers, were discovered. 

After 10 years of marriage, Elizabeth filed for divorce from the troubled actor in July 2020. 

According to People magazine in 2020, the 39-year-old TV star filed papers citing irreconcilable differences. Harper Grace, 7, and Ford Douglas Armand, 4, are her children, and she has sought for primary physical custody, but joint custody with the "Call Me By Your Name" star. 

In addition, Elizabeth requested spousal support. 

After Armie's troubling conduct was uncovered - he was accused of sexual assault by many women - the couple divorced. Lawyers for the star disputed the allegations, even claiming that Armie and the ladies had only had consensual interactions.

Armie Hammer and Elizabeth Chambers are mending their relationship, according to People magazine, after the actor sought therapy for his drug, alcohol, and sex issues at a treatment center.

An insider revealed to the outlet Elizabeth's priority has always been her children and their well-being. The past year hasn't been easy, but she and Armie have always had a love for each other." 

The insider added that Elizabeth never stopped loving her estranged husband and even called him the "love of her life." 

"They obviously had a lot of issues, but Armie's rehab stay showed that he was committed to big changes. They get along and enjoy hanging out with the kids."

In a new report by Us Weekly, a source revealed that the former couple had not reconciled their romance. 

Instead, they are working together on their co-parenting relationship. 

The source confirmed, "They are not back together, there is nothing romantic going on between them."

Elizabeth Chambers Blindsided

When the allegations against Armie Hammer first surfaced two years ago, an insider told Us Weekly that Elizabeth Chambers was "horrified and shocked" by the allegations.

"She's living in a nightmare. She doesn't even recognize the man she married anymore. She wants to help Armie get help but can't do it on her own."

According to Vanity Fair, the "Rebecca" actress enrolled into a treatment clinic for sexual and substance abuse in May 2021. 

He eventually left after seven months. Armie was said to be "doing terrific" after exiting therapy in December. 

However, the precise day Armie departed the institution is unknown.
