Alec Baldwin returned to work recently, just a few months after he was embroiled in the "Rust" fatal shooting accident that claimed the life of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. More recently, a crisis PR expert weighs in on the actor's career move, saying him going back to acting as early as 2022 can lead fans to question him.

Speaking to Fox News Digital, PR expert Dave Quast of Red Banyan said the actor will be starring in an upcoming film titled "97 Minutes."

The expert noted that the movie's title is "ironic" as it appears that it's the same amount of time the actor considered "hanging up his spurs" after the tragedy in New Mexico.

In addition, the public might question Baldwin's "sincerity" as he immediately flew to another country to shoot a "disaster movie" while he's still tied to a "real-life disaster."

Quast went on to say, "if Baldwin is going to keep making movies, then he may want to hold off for a more feel-good film that would showcase a softer side."

Another brand expert, Eric Schiffer, reacted to the situation, saying the actor's recent travel to England for his work is "boneheaded" as it would put more pressure on to prosecutor to show "there is no dual justice system."

However, despite the abovementioned opinions by the experts, CEO of Newsroom PR Howard Breuer believes that Baldwin's upcoming film won't "backfire."

The brand expert noted that even if he's found liable in the investigation, he has the right to continue working to "earn a living."

Furthermore, it is also a "good therapy" for him."

Speaking about his first day on set, the actor took to his Instagram account to express his feelings, saying it feels "strange to go back to work."

Baldwin noted that he doesn't work as much as he did back in the day, but he forgets what he's supposed to do whenever he goes back to work.

"I just was like, 'What do you do? What is acting or any of this nonsense I ended up doing?' It's strange to go back to work," he added.
