AnnaLynne McCord recited a poem in light of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and it has been met with a mixed response from the world at large, according to an article on The Hollywood Reporter.

In the poem, the Nip/Tuck actress speaks from the vantage point of a woman wishing she had been Putin's mother, so could have prevented him from these actions.

The poem went:

While the intentions were good, the internet instaneoulsy took to the comments section to criticsize the poem for blaming the actions of men on women.

Giulia Rozzi wrote, "Dear actress AnnaLynne McCord, I am so sorry I was not your mother. If I was your mother I wouldnve taught you not to blame women for the behavior of men. " Many have seconded the criticisms of the video.
