Christopher Abbott has officially joined the cast of Marvel's upcoming film Kraven the Hunter.

Kraven the Hunter is the next Marvel film on the horizon. Announcements about the production and cast have been released slowly but surely. Now, according to an exclusive with Deadline, it has been announced that Chirstopher Abbott will be joining the cast in the role of The Foreigner. The Foreigner is the main villian in the film and is one of the biggest rivals Spider-Man must face within the universe of the comic book series.

The Foreinger is a villian, but, as comic-book cannon dictates, does not have any powers of his own. He is a trained assassin and a skilled martial artist making him a fearsome competator even with his recognizable lack of supernatural ability. This character had not previously made an appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so we are excited to see what we are sure will be the beginning to a very long continuing character.

The announced cast weilds enough star power to put Kraven the Hunter on the top of the charts already. Previously announced cast members include Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kraven, Ariana DeBose as Calypso, and Fred Henchinger as Cameleon. Other actors in the cast includ Russell Crowe and Alessandro Nivola, but their roles have not yet been announced. However, it has been said that Nivola will be playing another villain in the film, but it has not yet been announced who.

We can't wait to get more details about Kraven the Hunter!
