Nick Cannon has received terrible news: his daytime show will be canceled after one season.

According to The Sun, he will no longer anchor "Nick Cannon," and his time slot will be filled by another well-known personality.

The 41-year-old presenter's show, which replaced the now-cancelled "The Wendy Williams Show," didn't achieve the ratings it deserved during its first season.

According to a source, the former Nickelodeon star's stats never took off, with ratings lingering around.4 throughout the season. This suggests that the show garnered just 400,000 watchers.

"You're not going to make it with those ratings." That's Bethenny Frankle and Kris Jenner talk show territory, and it didn't end well for either of their shows."

Another source told the magazine that former "American Idol" contestant Jennifer Hudson will take over the new time slot that has freed up now that Nick Cannon's program has been canceled.

Though no announcement has been made as of yet, "Nick Cannon" executives will issue a comment soon.

"It is believed that Nick will complete the rest of his season."

Is Wendy Williams' Absence To Blame For Nick Cannon's Program Being Canceled?

Meanwhile, another insider informed the outlet that Nick Cannon's show followed a host-less "The Wendy Williams Show," and that he was anxious that Wendy's absence would lead his statistics to plunge.

Wendy's show got 600,000 viewers even while she wasn't present, however Nick's only had 400,000, per Celebrity 411.

According to Page Six, there are "no signs of growth" for Nick's show.

The father of seven was apparently banking on the 57-year-old TV celebrity to offer a significant lead-in viewership for his new show.

Furthermore, his new show is modeled on her and is produced by the same individuals.

As the source said further, "he's under tremendous pressure to garner ratings, and without a significant lead-in, he's doomed."

Nick Cannon Will Be Quite Busy In The Next Months

Although the program has been cancelled, it is not as if he will be left with nothing to do.

After all, he is the father of seven children and is expecting his eighth with his fifth wife, Bre Tiesi, who is 30 years old.

According to reports, the host of "The Masked Singer" is expecting a son.
