Who was not able to watch "Squid Game" and come to know and love the star Hoyeon?

With her amazing performance in the Netflix series, she is now given the opportunity to star in Alfonso Cuarón's forthcoming thriller "Disclaimer" as a series regular. She's acting opposte Cate Blanchett no less.

She'll also be working with Kevin Kline, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Kodi Smit-McPhee on the show. She previously worked as a model under the stage name Jung Ho-yeon.

Hoyeon, 27, starred as North Korean defector Kang Sae-byeok in the dystopian Netflix series Squid Game and received the SAG Award for best actress in a drama series last month. When she competed in Korea's Next Top Model, she came in second place and now she's been named the new worldwide Maison Ambassador for Louis Vuitton. There's no denying that her career is in full swing.

The new thriller will be quite dark and based on the novel by Renee Knight. Cate Blanchett plays Catherine Ravensoft, a very successful and respected television documentary journalist whose expertise lies with uncovering the hidden sins of long-respected organizations. However, she herself has a deep, dark secret that she does not want anyone to uncover.

Working for Cate Blanchett's charater is a dream come true for her, regardless of the difficulties.

The star also cannot stay away from filming sets it seems. She recently shared that after "Squid Game," she was not able to be in a film set for a while. When she was given an opportunity to visit the set of "Euphoria," she was beyond thrilled.

While speaking with Entertainment Tonight at the 2022 Critics Choice Awards, the Korean actor shared revealed,"Once, I visited the set of Euphoria and it was so nice to see [it] because it's been a while [since I've been on set] after Squid Game," Jung said. "It was weird because I felt so comfortable to be just sitting [around.] I am not a team [member] on Euphoria but I [felt] safe and comfortable," she added.
